Types of Variegated Clivia

General

Clivia has been grown in the east for sometime now, and it is inevitable, that there had to be varigated plants pop up now and again.

Light of Buddah
In this variegation there are yellow horizontal bands transversely across the leaves. It is said to be like the sky during sunrise.

Akebono
This type of varigation is similar to Light of Buddah but has white horizontal bands on a dark green leaf. "Akebono" variegation is a different phenomenon, where (probably) most or all chloroplasts can potentially have green functional chlorophyll, but under some conditions it is turned off. The leaves of the "Akebono" are usually longer and narrower than the Light of Buddah.

Shima-Fu
This type is a common type of variegation, having  many narrow, cream, white, yellow, grey and green lines on the leaves

Fukurin - Marginal Varigation
With this type of variegation there are symetrical white or yellow bands along both  margins of leaves. It has white edges with a green centre stripe.

Tora-Fu
Here the variegation resembles the brindled stripes of a tiger

Genpei-Fu-Mandarin duck
In this type the leaves should be pure half white and half green. This was named because it reminds one of a pair of Manderyn ducks

Naka-Fu
This one is a reverse of the of Fukurin type, having a  yellow band of variegation in the middle, with green bands on each side of the leaves.

Negishi-Fu
With this type there are many narrow lines of vaiegation running length-wise through the leaves. Colour of its leaves are normally greyish
